Pooja Katara

FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Pooja Katara is an architect and immersive experience designer based in Glasgow, with a background in urban design and spatial storytelling.

With professional experience spanning India and Spain, Pooja has worked across diverse contexts, ranging from architectural design and small-scale urban interventions to public art installations and participatory placemaking. Her early work explored how physical environments shape social interactions, and she continues to bring this perspective into her creative practice today.

Trained as an architect, Pooja received the Chairman’s Medal and was awarded a scholarship for her master’s studies at the Glasgow School of Art, where she specialised in Creative Urban Practices. Her approach is grounded in human-centred design, spatial awareness, and a sensitivity to cultural context, drawing on a blend of research, speculative design, and real-world experimentation.

Her work has been showcased at major international platforms like SXSW and Slush, and supported by leading innovation bodies including Innovate UK, Scottish EDGE, and EIT Digital.

Pooja is passionate about using technology as a tool for inclusion, imagination, and storytelling. Her areas of expertise include experience design, augmented reality, urban narratives, and the design of public-facing digital interfaces that are intuitive, meaningful, and socially resonant.
